 Richmond's Tune-up Open is June 23rd & 24th There will be Open Mixed Senior Foil, Epee and Saber as well as a D-Under Senior Mixed Foil and a Y12 Mixed Foil. $30 per event preregistered, $35 if not. Preregistration closes on 6/24/18

We will be closed Memorial Day, Monday, May 28th. Sorry for the last minute notice, we were planning to be open, but circumstances have changed. We hope to see everyone on Thursday! 
For those in the intermediate class, this will push the last day of class out to Thursday, June 7th.

The Coastal Clash at Tidewater Fencing Club will be on Sat, May 12 & Sun, May 13th. D & Under mixed Foil & Saber and Open mixed epee as well as an unsanctioned Y14 foil event. $25 preregistered, $35 not. Preregistration closes 5/11/18

March Stuff:
No scheduled closings this month. As of now we will be open for Spring Break ,the first week of April.
Conomikes-Gutenberg Memorial Open  is Sat March 31st and Sun April 1st at William & Mary. Mixed events in all weapons. $30 preregistered, $45 at the door. Preregistration closes Thur, March 29.

February Stuff: No scheduled closings this month.
There are two upcoming local tournaments; River City Rumble in Richmond is up first on Feb.10th and 11th. There is a Y12 foil event, an E & Under Senior Mixed Foil and C & Under Senior Mixed events in all three weapons. $30 per event preregistered, $35 if not. Preregistration closes on 2/10/18

Tidewater Fencing Club in Chesapeake will have the Tidewater Open on Feb 24th and 25th. There will be a Y12 Mixed foil event and Senior Mixed events in all three weapons. $25 per event preregistered, $35 if not. Preregistration closes on 2/23/18

Well, it looks like will re-open a little later than planned. We have just been informed that we have to close tomorrow, Thursday, Jan 4th. See everyone on Monday, Jan 8th!

January Stuff:  We re-open on Thursday, Jan 4th. No other scheduled closings.
The  Hangover Classic  Is on Jan 20th and 21st.  Senior mixed, D & Under, and Women's events in all three weapons. If you want to go be sure to note that you need to sign up AND pay on askfred no later than Jan 16th to get the $35 per event  price, starting on Jan 17th the cost will be $105 per event.

December Stuff:
 We will be open through Monday, Dec. 18th , closed Thursday, Dec 21st - Monday, Jan 1st, then reopen on Thursday, Jan 4th.

Congratulations to all of our fencers who fenced the Thanksgiving Throwdown this weekend!  In the E & under senior mixed foil, Aaron took 5th and Alan took 9th. In the Unrated senior mixed foil, Aaron placed 3rd. Great job guys! In the C & under senior mixed foil, Zach took 8th and earned his E17,  awesome job!

The Thanksgiving Throwdown is this weekend. Good luck on Saturday to Aaron and Alan in the E & under senior mixed foil.   On Sunday, good luck goes out to Aaron and Zach in unrated senior mixed foil and Zach in Div 2 senior mixed foil! 

November stuff: We will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23rd for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Throwdown

The William & Mary Halloween Open is on Oct. 28th & 29th at the W & M student rec center.  $30 preregistered $45 day of. Preregistration closes on Oct 26th. Cash or check only.  W&M Halloween Open

August stuff: No scheduled closings this month.

It is time to renew your USA Fencing membership! Remember that we need ALL fencers to have a current USA Fencing membership for insurance purposes! The $10 non-competitive membership is sufficient for those fencers who don not wish to compete. One thing to note is that they now charge a $10 fee if you want a membership card sent to you, you can, however, print your card out yourself, you do not have to purchase the card.

Our next beginner class will start on Monday, Aug 7th and run through Thursday, Aug 31

Children 8 or 9 years old must have an adult take the class with them. 10 and older may take the class by themselves. Adults of all ages welcome!

Class is $50 (+15 for additional family member)

rental is $30

glove purchase $11 for a total of $91 ($147 for two)

Gear sets may also be purchased instead of renting if you prefer, they start at $116.

Also membership at USA Fencing is required for all fencers for our insurance purposes, the $10 non-competitive membership is sufficient for that.
